Brenda Kay Shupe, 67, passed away on her birthday, Thursday, July 13th, 2023 at Mount Carmel Grove City. Born on July 13th, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio. Daughter of the late Ezra Lee and Edith Maude VanSickle of Columbus, Ohio.
Brenda aka Beni, attended Franklin Heights High School, class of 1974.
After raising our sons, she worked for Master Mart Inc. in Grove City for 20 years, where she retired from in 2009. Brenda's many hobbies she enjoyed throughout life were fishing and camping, playing bingo with friends, ghost hunting, gardening, ceramics, moonlight bowling, league bowling, shooting darts, metal detecting, cooking, and being with family during the holidays.
When not at home with her family and beloved pets (Jack, Sadie, Miss Kitty, and Charlie,) Brenda loved to spend time at Big Cats Pay Lake in Grove City.
Preceded in death by her sister Barbara and her brothers John Michael and Gary Lee.
Survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Jeff; her sons Richard (Deborah K,) Brian (Darla,) and Brady; brother James Vansickle; cousin Kim Weissman; brother-in-laws David Masters and Steve Shupe; sister-in-law Doris Shupe; very special nephews Gary "Kemo" (Tara,) Chad Carpenter, Zack (Natasha,) Nick (Miranda,) Alex, Cameron, Preston, Connor, and Lance; very special nieces Kelley, Karie (Tom,) Stephanie, Virginia, Helen, and Kalina; daughter-in-law Leslie; childhood best friend Debra Kelly; grandchildren Brian Jr. (Felicia,) Devin (Sierra,) Zach (Stephanie,) Chad, Nate (Amy,) Todd, Jacob (Ekaterina,) Ricky, Kaylynn, and Carolynn; great grandchildren Mitchell, Malerie, Malachi, Mila, Adaline, Audrey, Osiris, Avonna, Liam, William, and Ayden. Many facebook friends, workplace friend Tara Love, paylaker pal Brandon whom she treated like her own grandson.

Friends may call at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City 43123 on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 5:00pm-8:00pm for visitation hours. Additional visiting time will take place Friday, July 21, 2023 from 10:00am-11:00am, for those who could not make it on Thursday. The funeral service will follow starting at 11:00am with Brenda's cousin, Pastor Kim Weissman officiating. A burial service will take place at Obetz Cemetery following the funeral gathering.
Donations may be made for Breast Cancer Awareness in honor of Brenda.
