Brenda Sidlo, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister passed away at her residence in Marysville, Ohio on August 17, 2024. Bornn to Archie and Jean Erwin on January 23, 1941 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, she was the only girl, growing up with her two brothers, Dennis, and Lane Erwin. She graduated from Upper Arlington High and attended The Ohio State University to pursue a business career. She switched interests and attended the College of Art and Design and studied Graphic Design. She married Patrick LaRosa, and that union resulted in the birth of her only child, Patrick “Skip” LaRosa.
She excelled at graphic design and her talents caught the attention of the executives at the Hyatt Regency and The Columbus Convention Center who hired her to work on their advertising campaigns. She had just started her own advertising business and was able to secure these two major accounts on her own, something she took great pride in. She served her community by helping senior citizens, however her greatest passion was helping rescue stray cats and devoted most of her time rehabilitating and re-homing these cats.
Preceded in death by her parents, Archie (Jean) Erwin, Brenda’s memory is honored by her beloved son, Patrick “Skip” (Milly) LaRosa, brothers, Dennis Erwin, Lane (Karen) Erwin, granddaughters, Carlyn (Adam) Hueve, Danielle (Patrick) Balog and Great grandchild, Juliette and Grady Balog.
