Brett Alan Gerke was born March 14, 1957 in Springfield, Ohio. Dr. and Mrs. Max (and Norma) Gerke proudly raised him from birth. He is survived by his 2 sons Patrick (Heather) and Christopher Gerke, Grandson Max and Granddaughters Kylie (Jonny) Schorr and Kara Cummins, and his wife of 38 years Kathryn Gerke.
Brett graduated from Springfield North High School, Ohio University (Bachelors of Finance), and Wright State University (Masters in Business), attended Berklee College of Music, and studied for his PhD at the John Glen Institute at The Ohio State University.
As a long time member of Powell United Methodist Church he was a member of the choir, one of the Directors of the Puppet Ministry, and a regular in the many Dinner Theaters.
