Bruce Brunner

Bruce Brunner, 76, of Mt. Sterling passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 10, 2012 at home. Born July 13, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Douglas and Avonell Brunner. He was a member of the Mt. Sterling Church of the Nazarene where he enjoyed working with children. Bruce was a Christian man who loved his family and was a friend to many. He spent years restoring his 1957 Chevy, his pride and joy. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by sister, Suzanne Jepson and brother, James Brunner.

He will be missed by his wife, Jo Lynn Brunner; children, Rebecca (Glenn) Blackburn, Bridget (Jack) Sims, S. Bret Brunner; grandchildren, Amy, Lindsey and Jeremy and great grandchildren, Chad and Kyle; sister, Sonia (Ron Nelson) Weiner; brothers, Sam (Maxine) Brunner, Thomas (Pat) Brunner, Larry (Susan) Brunner, Mike (Jackie) Brunner, Virgil (Sandy Hoover) Brunner, Walter ( Diane Black) Brunner; long time friend, Willis Bennett; many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.


Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, September 12, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Mt. Sterling Church of the Nazarene, 226 N. Market Street, Mt. Sterling.
