Buchanan "Duke" Miles, 86, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2013, with his son Charles and his dearest companion Elsie by his side. He was born in Columbus Ohio on March 15, 1926.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Eliza Miles; brother, Charles T. Miles; sister, Eva Miles Harris. Survivors include his dearest companion, Elsie Coleman; daughters, Marsha Morgan, Theresa Nixon and Gail Rakes; sons, Buchanan T. Miles, Stuart Miles and Charles B. Miles; nephew, Donald Smith and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing celebration of "Duke's" life will be held on January 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus Ohio. Elder William Eakins II will officiate. Family will receive friends at 12 noon until the time of service. Internment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
