Burleigh G. Jones, 85, of Columbus, passed into God's loving care Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Highbanks Care Center.
He was born April 12, 1928 in Leedy, OK son of the late Burleigh and Myrtle Harrell Jones.
In addition to his parents, Burleigh was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ray Jones, his daughter, Dorcas Jones and brother, Mansel Jones.
He worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for Boeing Company and was assigned to the Apollo Project for 13 years as Quality Assurance Superintendent.
Burleigh is survived by his wife, Sandra Weisner; daughters, Jana Jones and Ginny Jones; sister, Arlene Creel; grandsons, Kurt, Orion, Shae and D'Anthony.
A Celebration Service will be held on July 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Harlem Road United Methodist Church, 5520 Harlem Rd. Galena. A pot-luck lunch will follow immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Rd. Columbus, OH 43215.
