Byron Shaw, 90, of Gahanna, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor.
He was born February 27, 1925 in Mannington, WV, son of the late Ralph and Audie Neely Shaw.
In addition to his parents, Byron was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Z. Rogers Shaw; brothers, Edgar, Jack Lee, William H., Gilbert W.; sister, Betty Jo Craig.
He served in the Navy and Army. Byron worked for Perfection Coby Company, Galion, OH until 1985.
Then he worked for Rockwell International in Columbus, OH until retirement.
Byron is survived by his sons, Randy (Alyssa) Shaw and Russ (Wanda) Shaw; daughter, Sharon (Ron) Gerdeman; sister, Barbara Kibler of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Chanda, Joley, Dan, Jeff and Brian.
Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Ave. W. Mansfield, OH 44906.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1950 Arlington Lane Columbus, OH 43228.
