C. Calvin Gillispie, 88, of Grove City, OH went to be with Jesus on June 4, 2013. He loved his Lord and volunteered at Mayfair Village Nursing Center where he sang and ministered to the residents. He was born in Nitro, WV on January 15, 1925.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Hadie Gillispie, son, Calvin "Cub" Gillispie, sister, Helen Rudolph, brother, Harry Gillispie and brother in law, Bill Guzick. Surviving family includes, wife, Judy, children, Karen (Rene Rice) Cline, Larry (Vicki) White, Regina (Jerry) DePriest, Cheryl (Jeff) Gooch, Cathy (Angel) Franco, Linda Attreau, sister in law, Joyce Guzick and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, June 7, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be directed to Reese Chapel CCCU, 4949 Ridge Street, Columbus, OH 43207.
