Our beloved Candace "Candy" Tillman went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 31, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 23, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio to Melvin Brown and Bobbie Jean Tillman.
Candace married the love of her life and best friend, Abou Ndiaye over 20 years ago and they remained inseparable. She was dedicated to her family and touched so many lives. Candy, will truly be missed. She was employed with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service for over 25 years, where she made lifelong friendships.
Preceded in death by Bobbie Jean Tillman, Melvin L Brown, Howard (Mary) Harris, Ramona Fernett, Miriam Alfred, and Hazel Jones. Candace is survived by her husband Abou Ndiaye, daughter Hadi Sy ,sister Patsy Alston, brother Tyrea Tillman, brother Eric (Charlene) Tillman, and sister Alvira Jones; 14 nieces and nephews, 34 great nieces and nephews and 12 great, great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends starting at 9:00 am at Judah Christian Community Church located at 972 Beechwood Rd. Columbus Ohio 43227 on Saturday, February 9, 2019. The celebration of life service will start at 10:00am.
