Carl D. Alexander, 81, of Powell, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Crown Point Care Center. He was born December 1, 1925, in Columbus, son of the late Tryko and Alfrieda (Barrent) Alexander. In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by a son, Tryko Alexander; brothers, Gordon and Edward Alexander; sister, Florence Long and former wife, Helen Long. He served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Earle during WWII and also in the Panama Canal as a minesweeper. Carl retired from the Liebert Company. He is survived by his daughters, Donna (Stephen) Thomas, Carla Monteverde, Lubinka Richesson, Denise Alexander; fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Memorial service will be Sunday, June 3, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.com
