Carl Bernard Drake, age 76, of Orient, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009. Carl was born on February 1, 1933 in Groveport, Ohio to the late Carl L. and Olive Drake. Carl was married to his late wife Nancy on August 24, 1958. They spent most of their life together residing in Westerville and running Red Bank Harbor. Carl was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired Pickaway County farmer. He was also an avid dog lover. Survivors include his sisters, Ann (Pat) Neal, Alice (Ralph) D'Alessandro, and Donna (Jim) Stoer; nieces, April (Bill) Hamman, Lori (Mike) Butler, and Candy Stoer; nephew, James Andrew Stoer; great nephews, Jason, Will, and John. The family would like to thank Carl's special care giver and Mount Carmel Hospice. Visitation will be held Monday, August 24, 2009 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 1:00PM at the funeral home.Pastor Todd Warren officiating.Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, Ohio.
