CUMMINS
Carl M. "Bunk" Cummins, Sr. 77, of Columbus, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Born to Chancy and Rena Mae (Adrian) Cummins on September 12, 1931, in Madison County, Bunk was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bud and Fred Cummins; sister, June Cummins; life-long friend, Bob Puckett. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Judith (Crouch) Cummins; daughter, Sheila Kay Wardrup; sons, Joe, Barry (Cindy), Carl Jr. and Dave (Sherri) Cummins; sisters, Patty Latorre, Alice Egelehoff, Nettie Cummins, Mary Jane Dean and Doris Niebert; grandchildren, Christina, April (Mike), Melinda (Greg), Chad (Karie), Randy (Madison) Amanda, Jenida (Israel) and Tiffany; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends, including Norma Puckett. Bunk was a member of Carpenter's Union Local 200.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, 4-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with the Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Home Care, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215 or you may give a pint of blood to the American Red Cross in honor of "Bunk".
