Carol Jo Carr, born on August 22, 1951, passed away suddenly from heart failure on March 6, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. She retired from Chemical Abstract Services after 47 years, and lived a full and vibrant life, marked by her unwavering commitment to her job, family and an extensive network of friends.
Carol’s proudest accomplishment was her enduring marriage to her beloved husband, Terry, with whom she celebrated 49 remarkable years. Together, they nurtured a blended family that included stepchildren Terry J., Travis and Chasity, who carried forward the love and values instilled by Carol throughout their lives.
In addition to her immediate family, Carol is survived by her dedicated siblings: her sister Barb (John) Eberhard, along with her brother, Andy. Her legacy will also live on through her cherished nieces, Amber and Kaiya, and her nephew, Cody. She took great joy in her role as a grandmother to Elizabeth, Lyndsey, Abby, Terra, Tasha, and Angel, who filled her life with laughter and love.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, Al and Harriet Dennison, who provided her with a strong foundation in life.
Throughout her life, Carol cultivated deep connections with those around her, and her memory will be honored by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be profoundly missed by her family, including her brothers-in-law, Tom and Tim, who held a special place in her heart. Carol Jo Carr's spirit and warmth will remain a guiding light for her family and friends in the years to come.
