Carol L. Kibler, 76, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at her residence. She was born December 22, 1931, in Canal Winchester, daughter of the late Frank and Victoria Hardesty Gatwood. In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by a brother, John and sisters, Dorothy and Bernice. She retired from Franklin Co. MRDD with 30 years of service. Carol is survived by her husband, John P. Kibler; sons, Victor (Sherry), Valiant (Tress), Vincent and Vaughn (fiance Amber Santee); daughter, Velinda (Kirk) Knox; brothers, Donald (Jean) and Joe (Bessie); seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Monday, January 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Homereach Hospice, c/o Ohio Health Foundation 180 E. Broad Street Columbus, Ohio 43214-9988.
