Carol Joanne Minniear, 86, passed away on May 3, 2024. She was born on July 7, 1937 in Cleveland, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Minniear, parents Leroy, Lois, and Loretta Winter; brothers Baby Winter & David Winter; sons Harold, David, Thomas, Dennis & Lawrence.
She is survived by her children Karen (Bob) Renell, Kathie Minniear, Kenneth (Jennifer) Minniear; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews; sisters Sandy Winter, Elaine Minniear. She loved and was loved by many.
Carol grew up in Glenville and Lyndhurst, and had many fond memories of her young life on Churchill Avenue and then Gordon Street, where she welcomed her siblings David and Sandy. Carol loved mysteries and adventures, and took many road trips with her family. She had a green thumb for plants both indoors and out, and had the type of magic hands that could create something from nothing: in the kitchen, with yarn, pencil and paper, or on a sewing machine.
She was a proud member of Columbus First Brethren Church, where she lead girls group with her dear friend Pat Morris for many years. She loved visiting the Columbus Zoo and Franklin Park Conservatory with her family. She was the proudest and most loving Mom, Grandmother, and Gigi. Her family is so glad she is at rest, and will miss her forever.
Memorial Service Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11am at Agora Church, formerly Columbus First Brethren, 473 W. 3rd Ave., Columbus, OH 43201.
