Carol Sue Parsley, Simpkins-Perkins

Mrs. Carol Sue Parsley, Simpkins-Perkins, passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2022.
Carol is survived by two children, Mrs. Charlotte Simpkins Drake (Brian) and Mr. George Simpkins (Tina), their children Kathern (Richard) Hudson, Justin (Tera) Simpkins and Elizabeth Harrell.
She is also survived by her sisters Mrs. Wanda Lee Parsley DeRosa (Michael) and Mrs. Nancy Tayler. Carol is also survived by her "fur baby" Sassy the devoted love of her later life. Carol is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Hezz Car Parsley, and by her mother Mrs. Laura Salmons Parsley.
Also preceding her are both of her husband's (George Simpkins and Art Perkins), two grandsons (Christopher Simpkins and Jason Simpkins), and her twin sister Linda Parsley Blankenship.
Carol was born May 2, 1939, in West Virginia where she remained through the early years of her life.
When first married she settled in Grove City where she remained for almost three quarters of a century while raising her family; and, later pursuing a long, career with Big Lots. Upon her retirement from Big Lots she pursued her true passions which were gardening and curiosity about anything mechanical. She spent the remainder of her life growing amazing flower gardens and tinkering with and repairing almost anything mechanical. She was kind and overly generous and loved by the entire community.
