Carol Sue Meyer

Carol Meyer, age 71, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015. She was born to the late Adrian Valentine and Margaret Valentine on October 23, 1944.

Family and friends were Carol's passion and delight. She loved all the time she spent with her family. She loved to host bon fires, OSU parties and pool parties with her family and friends. Carol's passion was her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they meant everything to her. She dedicated her retired years helping raise them and watch them grow.

Carol was a member of the Hickory Hills Golf Club, and for many years was in charge of the Finland Baseball and Football Association along with her husband Gary. She loved to golf and watch kids grow up on the ball fields. She was very active and loved being outdoors until the last two years when her battle with Cancer began.

Carol is survived by her husband, Gary Meyer, and her four children, Mindy Hatfield, Charla LaRosa (Husband Rick), Gary Meyer Jr. (Beth), and Stacy Friend (Husband Roger). Grandchildren Jessica King, Crystal Hatfield, Britnie Hogan (Husband David), and Addie Hatfield (Kory), and Shane Preece (Wife Breanna). Great Grandchildren, Anthony Hatfield, Emma Hatfield, Olyvia Hogan, Cohen Hogan, Gage Hatfield, Saige Hogan, Carter Hatfield, and Ellie Preece.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6PM Thursday July 23 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW, 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123. A service will be held at 6PM provided by Rev. John Crampton.
