Carolyn Hungerman

Carolyn Jane Hungerman, age 82 of Canal Winchester, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 10, 2023. She was born at home on December 10, 1940 to the late George "Lightning" and Elizabeth (Brown) Moore in Martins Ferry, Ohio. She graduated in 1958 from Martins Ferry High School. She worked for Central Aluminum, T.C. Weiser and then retried from Damron Wall Systems in 2018.

Carolyn was a loving wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family and friends. She had a heart of gold who never met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with all her loved ones and made every holiday and family occasion special.

She is survived by her loving husband Don of 64 years, sister Elizabeth (Joseph) Martin, children Christine (Rocco) Gualtieri, Cheryl (Steve) Baughman, Michele (Johnny) Schmidt and Scott (Alisa) Hungerman, grandchildren Susie (Steve), Megan (Dave), Jill (Mark), Eric, Todd (Amy), Brad, Keri (Freddy), Nico, Scotty, Lauren, Ben, Ryan, Eli, Courtney, Nathan and Noah, great grandchildren Jackson, Ivan, Dmitri, Knox, Archer, Victor, Lincoln, Oliver, Sawyer, Emmy, Cora, Sienna and Tori.

There will be a celebration of life reception for family and friends, Friday, October 13, 2023 at the family's home, 271 Jennings Way, Canal Winchester, OH beginning at 3:00 pm, everyone is welcome.

Carolyn was a thirty year breast cancer survivor, donations can be made to her favorite charities, in honor of her memory to, The Susan G. Komen (komen.org) or St. Jude (stjude.org) in lieu of flowers.
