Carolyn Sue (Cozad) May 1947-2021
Carolyn Sue (Cozad) May of Columbus, passed away at home, on Thursday, June 24, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born, August 7, 1947, and graduated from South High School. After graduating, she became a certified beautician. Next, Carolyn worked most of her career as a supervisor at Kauffman-Lattimer/Amerisource. Carolyn retired from Nationwide Insurance to provide daycare for her great-grandchildren. This job was the one she found most fulfilling, as Carolyn was a giver, caretaker and her family was always her priority. She loved them all beyond measure. Among Carolyn's many superpowers, it was her empathy, compassion, love, and selflessness that made the world a better place. Words cannot adequately express what it felt like to be loved by Carol May. Those who were loved by her, know this to be true.
She is survived by her children: Todd (Kathleen) McCafferty-May, Tami (Drew Berry) May, Tara (Aaron) Crawford. Grandchildren: Amber (Graham) Clark, Briana May, Alexis Crawford, Caden Peoples, Tyson (Anteshyja Flintroy) Peoples, Amelia May, Payton Peoples, Alexis Berry and Adrianna Berry. Great-Grandchildren: Kaleb Stover, Kamryn Clark, Kyah Clark, Shylene Beatty, Tyson Peoples Jr. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon (Richard) Harp and brother, Don (Linda) Cozad, brothers by marriage, Barry Chiron and Butch Miller, Mother-in-Law Wanda May, Sister-in-Law Sherry (Mike) Adams, Brother-in-Law Ron (Cindy) May and many nephews, nieces and their families.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Charlotte (Peters) Cozad and Father-in-Law Lovell May. Siblings: Janet (Bob) Starner, Betty (Frank) Anderson, Beverly Chiron, Donna Miller.
Carolyn's children invite family and friends to a celebration of Carolyn's life and love, Friday, July 2, 2021 from 5-8pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, 43123.
Donations can be made in Carolyn's honor to the Diabetes Research Institute or the American Kidney Fund.
