Carolyn Miller, 76, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Columbus Alzheimer Care Center. She was born April 18, 1935 in Glouster, daughter of the late Walter and Marie Smith Yount. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Marvin "Sonny" Trace and son-in-law, Michael McCoy Sr. Carolyn was a volunteer for many years and retired from Midland Insurance as an executive chef. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Miller; sons, Mike and Pat (Wendy) Trace; daughters, Kathy Trace and Teresa McCoy; brother, Tim (Jan) Yount; sister, Helen Yono; lifelong friend, Babe Walker; sisters-in-law, Janet Auer and Eileen Foster; brother-in-law, Bobby (Pauline) Trace; grandchildren, Michael (Kari) Jr. and Clinton Andrew McCoy, Jason, Josh, Maggie, Justin Trace and many great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus. Funeral service will be Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Evergreen Union Cemetery.
