Carolyn L. VanTilburg, 74, of Columbus, OH, passed away June 26, 2021.
She was born in Columbus, OH on April 10, 1947 to the late David Slonaker and Virginia (Writesel) Webb.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Edward W. VanTilburg, her Step-Mother Bonnie Slonaker, and her Grandmother Emma "Kitty" Writesel.
Surviving family includes her children, Robert L. (Lisa) VanTilburg, Timothy W. (Stephanie) VanTilburg, Brian K. VanTilburg and Tiffany A. (Curt) Booher. Also, twelve precious grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of other precious relatives and friends.
Carolyn's greatest joy was to help and care for others. She loved to sing and dance, and her friends and family will always cherish the memories of when Ed and Carolyn would hit the dance floor.
Many wonderful memories were made singing karaoke and playing games into the late-night hours, even as recently as the past few weeks. Other hobbies included Bingo and crocheting. Her legacy will be that she and Ed modeled a lasting marriage and provided a welcoming and loving home all the days of her life.
A Memorial Service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, Ohio on Wednesday, July 7th from 5:00-7:00pm followed by a brief service at 7:00pm.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carolyn's life.
