Carrie Louise Eckstein, 28 years old, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 7th, 2010. Carrie was a 2000 Grove City High School graduate, and 2005 graduate of Mt. Carmel School of Nursing. Carrie's passion for helping others took her to Palm Springs, CA as a Travel Nurse. She overcame many obstacles in her life battling Type I Diabetes. Carrie's enthusiasm and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Carrie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Porter and Dorothy (Rose) Garrett.
She is survived by her loving parents, Gary and Sandy (Garrett) Eckstein, grandparents, Clarence and Alberta (Moorman) Eckstein, sister, Holly (Joshua) Kinkel, brothers, David (Gretchen) and Brian Eckstein, three nephews: Porter Kinkel (Godson), Caiden and Reid Eckstein, one niece Lyla Kinkel, and special friend, Dr. Edmund Ayoub, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13th, 2010, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM, Prayer service at 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
Service will be held on Monday, June 14th, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3752 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Interment immediately following in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Santa Maria Charities c/o Carrie Eckstein Memorial Fund, 185 Wagon Trail South, Powell, OH 43065.
