Cecil Beasley, 83, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born April 26, 1926, in Matewan, W.Va., son of the late Ammon and Lillian Hamilton Beasley. In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Hendricks Beasley and son, Benny Beasley. He served in the Marines during WWII and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1598. Cecil is survived by his son, Cecil (Christine) Beasley Jr.; daughter, Pennicia (Leonel) Beasley-Fierro; sister, Jo Ann Beasley; grandchildren, Cela (Rick) Hart, Heather (Alex) Dechabert, Cecilia (Julio) Beasley- Galindo, Cecil (Erika) Beasley III and Abbey Beasley; great grandchildren, Shawn, Brettony and Leonel Beasley, Domingo Galindo-Beasley, Eric, Adam, Devin and Alexa Hart, Morgan, Evan and Tristen Decharbert; longtime friend, Bill Ott. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd Columbus. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
