Cecil Charles Yoder Sr., 88, of London, Ohio, passed away peacefully December 27, 2021at his home. He was born on September 3, 1933 in Marysville, Ohio to the late Odell H. and Elsie M. (Kroninger) Yoder.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Don, Eugene and Paul Yoder; granddaughter, Aubrey Christian and grandson, Michael Chastain.
Surviving family includes, wife of 65 years, Cora A. (Bennett) Yoder; children, Vicki (Perry) DeMatteo, Cecil Yoder II, Laura Chastain, Cynthia (Andrew) Smith, Michelle Yoder and Stefani Yoder; grandchildren, Christopher, Timothy, Vic, Amy, Charles, Alex, Joshua, Monique, Joseph, Angela, Andrea, Leigha, Eric, Domni, Bethany, Danny, Steven, Taylor, Gabriele and great grandchildren, Evan, Ava, Milania, Arianna, Wade, Macy, Tyson, Taylor, Aidan, Kamber, Kylynn, Coy, Raylynne, Everly, Hayden, Kaitlynn, Shaelynn, Autumn, Olivia, Jordan, Westin, Alexandria, Nickolas, Bre'anna, Mya, Emily, Blake, David, Stefani, Layla, Nathaniel, Katerina, Wyatt, Sabrina, Bryson, Kyllen and Julian.
Cecil served four years in the United States Marine Corps. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal. Cecil was a member of the VFW, AMVETS and the American Legion. He participated in the honor flight to Washington DC. Cecil retired from Roadway Express after over 30 years and was a member of Teamsters Union Local 413 for over 35 years.
Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Monday January, 17, 2022 at Sunset Cemetery.
