Celeste Ann Davidson Schnabel, 88, of Westerville, Ohio passed away July 8, 2023.
Celeste was born August 30, 1934 to the late Violet (Parsell) and Edmer R. Davidson in Montcalm, West Virginia.
Celeste was a compassionate and loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was an avid reader of mysteries and history. She loved an adventure whether traversing the Ohio Bicentennial Wagon trail, embarking on a road trip across the United States, or traveling to Greece.
Celeste was charitable and always involved in the community. She was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
She leaves behind a loving family: children, Karen A. Scott (Steven), Robert Michael Schnabel, Sue A. Skrei (Steven); grandchildren, Joshua (Holly) and Sarah Scott; Zachary (Kirstyn) Skrei, and Emily (Joe) Howdyshell, and Kyle Skrei; great grandchildren, Anna, and Jacob Scott; Owen, Eli, and Jack Skrei and Sophia Howdyshell. Brother Arthur Davidson and sister Sue Davidson Souder. Nieces and nephews, Eric, Ed, Dayna, Jody, Brenda, Martha, and Jason Davidson; Pam, Joe, and Rich Souder. Her precious cat, Bruno.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert William Schnabel, and her brother's Howard R. Davidson and Nelson Davidson.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 5 at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Karen Asmus-Alsnauer officiating at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, Columbus Ohio 43229. Luncheon following service at the church.
