Celinda Mae Magno

Celinda Mae Calleja Magno, 90, of Dublin, OH, passed away on December 10, 2024. She was born September 25, 1934 in Bulan, Sorsogon, Philippines to Gaspar B. and Antonia A. Calleja. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years, Dr. Manuel G. Magno Jr., MD, and her brother Gaspar B. Calleja, Jr. She is survived by her son Manuel G. Magno III, daughters Mary Margaret (Thomas) Mouracade and Maria-Yvette (Jeffrey) Campbell, in addition to 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She received a BS in Commercial Education in 1958 from the University of the East, in Manila, Philippines and taught several courses following her graduation. Upon emigrating to the United States in 1962, she became a full-time homemaker and mother. Mae was a self-taught gardener, and was able to keep several of her favorite plants in thriving condition for more than four decades. In her later years, she enjoyed following her grandsons' collegiate and professional baseball careers, as well as playing with her great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.
