The passing of Charles "Tim" R. Hix Jr. is mourned by his family and friends. He was born on August 26, 1946, and passed away on October 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He graduated from Teays Valley in 1964, Tim was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War and later retired from the Columbus Dispatch. Proceeded in death by his wife Rachel E. Hix (Galentine); Parents Charles R. Hix Sr. and Lois M. Hix (Willoughby); Sisters Charlene Bragg (Hix), and Ruth Ann Hix.

 He is survived by his brother Paul “Oogie” Hix; Daughters Tina (Pat) Davis, Lois (Steve) Sloan; Grandchildren Madison Davis, Ricky (Brianne) Jacobs, Ted Jacobs, Jimmy Jacobs, Josie Sloan; Great grandchildren, Rosalie, Sebastian, Iris; and his beloved dog “Baby”. A 21 Gun Salute will be held in his honor on October 26, 2024 at 10:00 am, at the American Legion (1571 Demorest Rd. Columbus, OH 43228). Contributions to military support organizations are welcomed in lieu of flowers.
