Charles "Deacon" Johnson, 92, passed away December 5, 2012.
Preceded in death by parents; sister, Lucille Crabbe and brothers, Clyde, Harry, James and Richard.
Charles is survived by wife of 66 years, Alice; sons, Charlie (Lori) and Lynn; and grandchildren, Juliana (Tim) Damopoulos, Mark and Christopher Johnson.
Member of Scioto Chapel UMC and Hilliard American Legion Post 614. Graduate of OSU Dairy Technology and VP of Frecker Ice Cream Co.; later employed at Children's Hospital in the engineering dept.
Visitation Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 1 pm with visitation one hour prior at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Jefferson, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles' memory to the Hilliard American Legion Post 614, P.O. Box 1120, Hilliard, OH 43026.
