Charles Maynard

Charles Maynard, 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on September 30, 2024. 

He was born in Inez, KY on May 1, 1950. He was married to the love of his life, Deborah, for 44 wonderful years. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Charles was a proud member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 189 for 53 years and dedicated over 25 years to the City of Hilliard, Parks & Recreation. He also spent 25 years as a member of the United Steelworkers. A 1969 graduate of West High School, Charles cherished time spent with family, friends, and his numerous grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, activities that brought him great joy and allowed him to create lasting memories with his many lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ruth Maynard and brother, Willie Maynard.

Surviving family includes his loving wife, Deborah; children, Chuck Maynard, Connie Rose (Brian Knoll), Elizabeth Dusenberry (Doug Dusenberry), and Samantha Keigley (Walt Keigley); grandchildren, Artie & Abby Rose, Trevor, Kate, Colin & Hailey Maynard, Walter, Scarlett, and Maximus Keigley, Hudson Dusenberry; siblings, Mary Louise Fluty, Dorothy Pemberton (Stan), Loretta Conkel (Neil), and Jimmy Maynard (Debbie); sister-in-law, Denice Abbot (Bill) and his numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm, Friday, October 4, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065, where a funeral service will begin at 12pm.
