Charles "Roger" McKinniss, 80, of Ray, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Laurels of Worthington. He was born September 13, 1931, in Coalton, OH, son of the late Charles McKinniss and Frances Clark McCamic. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Craft; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Helen Mehrle. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Chuck is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Mehrle McKinniss; sons, Charles and Eric (Tammy) McKinniss; daughters, Kathleen and Amelia McKinniss and Jennifer (Ken) Padgett; brothers, Larry (Rosemary) and Chester McKinniss; sister, Crystal (Don) Cook; "Paw Paw" loved his twenty-one grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH. Memorial mass will be Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Ladislas Catholic Church, 277 Reeb Ave. Columbus, OH 43207. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Korean War Veterans Association, 35 E. Chestnut St. Columbus, OH 43215. Interment will be at a later date.
