Charles Douglas Moore, 53 of Columbus, Ohio passed on Monday 22, 2021 at his residence peacefully in his sleep.
Preceded in death by father; James H. Moore, mother: Connie Coleman, grandparents; Conard and Virginia Davis, James and Della Coldiron.
Survived by wife Kerrie (Cook) Moore, Two daughters; Mckinsey (Moore) Glazier and Kennedy (Moore) Glazier, Sister Ann (Jerry) Manning, Nephews; Joseph Detty and Jeffrey Detty, Great-Nephew; Logan Detty, and a host of uncles,aunts and many cousins, service dog; Chloe Ann Moore.
He served proudly in the U.S. Navy on the USS Vandergrift (FFG 48). Served 3 tours of duty. Received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal while serving. He served as a volunteer fire fighter in Fortville, In. He was employed at Simpson Strong Tie in Hilliard, Ohio. He enjoyed collecting antique toys, baseball cards and many other items. Guess you could say he was a great collector of many things. He knew no stranger and loved all of his family and friends with his whole heart. He was kind, compassionate, caring, witty, charming,and had such a sense of humor. He was one of a kind that could bring a room to life like no one else. He loved to have fun, laugh, and enjoy life. He was liked and loved by so many. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 11am until the time of Funeral Service at 1pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, OH.
