Charles Vernon Mullins Sr. of Grove City, OH, formerly of Blair, WV, passed away February 28, 2024 at his home. Survived by daughter, Nancy Crittendon (Tracy) of Grove City, OH; son, Charles Mullins Jr. (Debby) of Creedmor, NC; sister, Judith Pauley of Cleveland, OH. He has two grandchildren, Lydia Grubbs (John) and Brandon Crittendon; and two great-grandchildren, Amaya and Zidane Grubbs.
He was the son of Claude and Ellen Mullins and grandson of Oscar and Eve Burgess of Blair, WV.
Charles was formerly married to Maryanne Mullins.
He worked in the coal mining industry for many years and retired from the Bethlehem Coal Mines.
Charles was a strong Christian man, was a member of Blair Church of God and Connection Pointe Church of God in Grove City. He enjoyed the outdoor riding ATVs, fishing, and working in his yard and gardening.
Visitation Monday, March 4th, 2024 from 6-8pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 at 11am at the Funeral Home.
Additional services will take place at Handley's Funeral Home in Danville, WV. Visitation Wednesday, March 6th at 1pm until the time of Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial to follow at Boone Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Faith Missions to feed hungry families.
