Charles N. Williams, born September 2, 1943 in Ferndale, Michigan, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 14, 2011 at his home in Grove City, OH. His parents Edwin Wayne and Elsie Margaret (Worth) Williams of St. Clairsville, OH preceded him in death. Chuck served in the Army as a military policeman in Frankfurt Germany from 1960 to 1963 and was honorable discharged. He worked for Westinghouse Corp. from 1964 to 1973 starting out as an Expediter and then in the purchasing department. In 1973 he joined the Murfin Company where he started out as the quality control manager, rose to VP sales and later became a partner after the tragic death of his dear friend Tom Murfin in 1979, in 1987 he purchased Specialty Nameplate Corp. which he sold in 2002. Chuck leaves his beloved wife of 43 years, Priscilla and their daughter Amy Sue Hernandez and his son-in-law Ernie Hernandez who he always thought of as a son and his one granddaughter, Angel Lynn Hernandez who was the joy of his life. Chuck and Priscilla raised many foster children over a ten year period. He is survived by one sister, Sue (F. Jay) Keefer of Wheeling, WV, and two brothers, Russell (Sherry) Williams of Richmond, VA and John (Becky) Williams of Belmont, OH. He also leaves eight nieces and nephews, twelve grand nieces and nephews and some long time friends, with whom he kept close contact. Chuck and Priscilla enjoyed many years on their 5 acre farm on Opossum Run Rd., Grove City, OH where they gardened and enjoyed their pond and boats. There will be no public services as the family will hold a private memorial at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice, 6150 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213.
