Charles T. "Chuck" Parmenter, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2020 with his beloved wife, Betty, by his side. He was born on September 28, 1935 to the late Elva and Thomas Parmenter in Galloway, Ohio.
Chuck served in the US Navy and looked forward to his trips to attend the reunions with his naval buddies. He was an OTR truck driver and retired from ABF. Chuck was one of the founding fathers of the Scioto Twp. Fire Department in Commercial Point. After retirement he became an avid craftsman, creating beautiful lawn and tree decorations.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 36 years, Betty; children, Bob (Sherry) Parmenter, Susan (Todd) Bell; step-son, Bill Saft; son-in-law, David Chittum; step-daughters, Debbie (Glenn) Waugh and Laura Schatz, who were so loyal and loving in assisting with his care; brother, David (Renee) Parmenter; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his infant sister, Janet Grace; brother, John Parmenter Sr.; daughter, Judy Chittum; granddaughter, Zoey Lockwood and step-son, Chuck Saft.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 1-3:00 p.m. at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City. The Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 p.m.
