Charles R. Phelps

Charles R. "Bob" Phelps, 82, passed away January 24, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Guy Wilson Phelps and Mary Elizabeth Phelps; brothers, Richard, Earl, and Louis Phelps; sisters, JoAnn, Dolores, and Linda; son, Floyd Phelps.

Bob is survived by wife of 61 years, Lillian Phelps; sons, Roger (Judy), Richard (Tammy), Earl, and Jerry (Teresa) Phelps; grandchildren, Chrissie Phelps, Stefanie (Freddie) Caceres, Jacob (Abby) Phelps, Emily Phelps, Richie (Meagan) Phelps, Russell (Mallory) Phelps, Ryan (Deidra) Phelps, Adam Murtha, Shaun (Amy) Murtha, Desirae Phelps, Cassandra Brady, Karrie (Josh) Rinehart, Ashley Phelps, Cody (Sarah) Phelps, and Jessica (Cody) Meade; great-grandchildren, Sophia Caceres, Bryar Phelps, Abagail Phelps, Collin Phelps, Madison Phelps, Aubrey Phelps, Hunter Phelps, Karrissa Phelps, Logan Phelps, Jayden Phelps, Kayden Phelps, Naomie Phelps, Ava Phelps, Graisen Phelps, Annalee Rinehart, Caleb Phelps, and Lilliana Meade; brothers, Dave (Carol) and John (Sharon) Phelps; sisters, Helen (Jim) Urban and Sharon Morrow; numerous nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends.

Bob enjoyed fishing, watching football (especially OSU and the Browns), and playing horseshoes. He also played cards and watched Walker Texas Ranger every day. Bob loved his family and spending time with the grandchildren. He retired from Teamsters Local 413 and drove for Roadway Trucking. Bob was a born again Christian.

Visitation Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 2 to 4pm and 6-8pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Monday, January 30, 2023 at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
