SAVAGE
Charles Edward Savage, 78 of New Albany passed away May 10, 2006 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born on November 29, 1927 in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Millard and Mary Jane (Staggs) Savage. Charles faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. He was a 32nd degree Mason and worked for A.W. Burns Construction, Decker Construction, W.R. Hatch Builders, and retired from Mulbarger Enterprises. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing country music. Charles is preceded in death by Parents; Daughter, Carol (Savage) Hatch; Brothers, Clester Savage, E.J. Savage, Ben Savage; Sisters, Lucille Little, Estelle Turner, Dellas Savage, Jessie Holt, and O.V. Dishman. Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Norma C. (Walker) Savage; Sons, Ronald (LoAnne) Savage of Columbus, OH., Randy (Pam) Savage of Winterhaven, Florida; Daughters, Deborah (Rick) Snow of Johnstown, OH., Vangela (Dale) Houston of New Albany, OH.; Brother, Jerry (Mary) Savage; Sisters, Joyce Shields, Geneive (Elwood) Walker all of Livingston, Tenn.; Five Grandchildren, James Miller, Charles Petrella, Heather Mahle, Kari Hendrix, and Leslie Houston; Three Great-Grandchildren, Mallory and Tony Petrella, and Madelyn Mahle; many Nieces and Nephews. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2006 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road Columbus, Ohio 43231. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. at the Funeral Home with Pastor James E. White officiating. Interment will follow in Kingwood Memorial Park.
