Charles "Chuck" Springer III, 80, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at O.S.U. Medical Center.
He was born May 12, 1933 in Columbus, son of the late Charles and Maudie White Springer Jr. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Springer; brother, Harvey Springer; sister, Carol Bingman.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Springer and Randy (Norma Decker) Brackens; daughters, Paula Cornwell and Patricia Brackens; grandchildren, Tara (Chad) Chambers, Jessica Cornwell, Angela (Josh) Racca, Charlotte Leann Brackens, Kaylee Hively, Tamara (Sean) Hill, Garrett Cornwell, Leah Powell, Kyle Brackens and Timothy Joseph Caldwell; eleven great grandchildren and three nieces.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with a graveside service immediately following visitation.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office-FRAO 5555 Frantz Rd Dublin, OH 43017.
