Charles H. Steel, Sr., 93, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Westerville, OH.
He was born on January 19, 1928 in Blaine, Kentucky to Lonnie and Matilda Steel.
Charles is survived by his wife of 74 years, Darlene Steel; daughter, JoAnn (John) Kerwood; sons, Charles (Joyce) Steel, Jr. and Donnie R. Steel; grandchildren, Sandy Huntzinger, Nicholas (Donna) Huntzinger, Jason (Annie) Steel; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lisa Huntzinger.
Charles was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. He proudly worked for Columbia Gas of Ohio for 40 years.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held immediately after visitation at 1:00 pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Blendon Central Cemetery.
