Charles Wayne Turner, born on December 1, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 20, 2023, in Johnstown, Ohio. Charles was a devoted father to five amazing daughters. He cherished the moments spent with his children, mom, grandkids, family and friends. His love for fishing was a shared joy with his brothers, grandkids, and other loved ones. Charles had a passion for life, and his laughter and humor were infectious. He had a remarkable ability to find joy in the simplest things, like creating a happy face on his leftover dinner plate. At the age of 15, Charles embarked on a lifelong career as a painter. His dedication and skill in this craft were truly remarkable, leaving behind not just painted walls but also a legacy of hard work and commitment. Charles had a fondness for hats and clocks, reflecting his unique style and appreciation for the passage of time. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him. Charles is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Turner, brother Frank Turner, and sister Florence Nomic and son-n-law Harold Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Trenna Turner, and his loving daughters Angie (Kelly) Hahn, Lora (Stephen) Turner, Nina Phillips, Renee Rose, and Jackie (Devlin) Turner. He is also survived by his siblings Sandy (John) Edwards, Dick (Fawn) Turner, Ronnie (Joyce) Turner, Mike Turner, David Turner, Bev (Ray) Kimes, Patty Turner, Jerry Turner, and Caroll Mcbee. Charles leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren Dwayne Hahn, Josh Hahn, Zack Hahn, Erik Bonnell, Steven Bonnell, Katelynn Phillips, Harlod Phillips, Harley Phillips, Heaven Rose, Angel Rose, Faith Rose, Dede Rose, Journey Carver and Jade Carver as well as several great-grandchildren. In celebration of Charles' life, the family will receive friends and family from 2 to 4pm, Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus 43231. Funeral Ceremony to follow at 4pm, Thursday, also at the funeral home. The Newcomer family is honored to serve the Turner family.
