Charles Leolon Wilson, Jr., 91, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away November 25, 2022. Charles Wilson, Jr. was born November 18, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio to Charles Leolon Wilson, Sr. and Charlotte Louise (Potter) Wilson. Charles served faithfully for 21 years with the United States Air Force Reserve. Additionally, he was loved by colleagues and senior management at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as well as Defense Supply Center Columbus. He was assigned in the Information Technology Department. Charles Wilson, Jr. was a Christian who attended both Baptist and non-denominational churches over the years. As an IT professional by trade, he was often also found in front of the computer at home. He loved playing internet games and staying in touch with dear friends, family, and colleagues on social media platforms. If he wasn't in front of his computer, he loved watching westerns and military drama series. Charles also frequented the cinema, as he was a big fan of the traditional movie and a dinner. He loved spending time with his family and frequently hosted weekend gatherings with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a BIG heart and believed in paying it forward and often was the benevolent deliverer of groceries and gifts to others. Charles will be deeply missed by his children, friends, and family members: Children; Charlotte L. Champ (Howard), Charles "Lance" Wilson (Sari), Ruby "Stacy" Henderson, Eric Wilson (Pilita), and Karlton Wilson (Yalonda). Grandchildren; Shaun Wilson, Rachel Henderson, Rochelle Henderson, Reginald "Rashad" Henderson, Amber Champ, Aaron Champ, of Virginia. Jilian Wilson, Dyland Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Sarah Wilson, and Lance Wilson, Jr, of Florida. Aaron Wilson, Eric Wilson, Kameryn Wilson, Reed Wilson, and Ross Wilson of Columbus. Great grandchildren: Alyssa Wilson, Shanelle Gaither, Jada Wilson, Ayjah Hariston, Ari Sellier, Ammar Sellier, Emias Manning and Syair Manning, Adrian Wilson, Damon Wilson, and Eryss Wilson. Charles Jr. was preceded in death by parents and daughter and son-in-law Kim A. Marbury (Lester). Graveside services will be December 27 at 2 PM at the VA National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. Burial will be at VA National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio, where military rites will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Air Force Wounded Warriors.
