Charlie Coleman Jr.

Charlie Coleman Jr., age 89, of Grove City, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on February 17, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 16, 1934 in Pike County, Kentucky to Charlie and Lenore Coleman. Charlie attended school in Paintsville, Kentucky where he met and married his wife of 69 years, Mary (Borders) Coleman.
Charlie played football, basketball, and softball, during his school years and continued to play sports throughout his life. He loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends along with his church family. Charlie is a retired pastor and loved his church. He worked at Buckeye Steel for 46 years.
He lost his loving wife, Mary in August 2021 and is survived by his sons, Ronald (Carolyn), Jeff and Bryon (Amy), and daughters Melissa (John) and Michele (Lee); along with 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Special thanks to his daughter, Michele, and to Ohio's Hospice Loving Care for their continued love, care, and support.
Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 11:00am until time of funeral service at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
