Chauncey Rice

Chauncey E. Rice was born in Greenup County, KY to James and Minnie Rice. He was the eighth of ten children. On December 6, 1952 Chauncey and Wyvetta Rose were married in Springfield, OH. They were happily married for 56 years. Chauncey is survived by his wife, Wyvetta; his sister, Doris Smith; his son, Mark (Debi) Rice; and grandchildren, Sonja (Phillip) Tennant, Reuben (Liz) Rice, and Chelsea (Michael) Thome. He retired from White Westinghouse in 1987 after 33 years of hard work. He was a faithful member of the Clintonville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 18 years. He was a hard working and well respected member of the community. He will be greatly missed. So will all the tomatoes and garden produce that he grew each summer and generously shared with everyone. His Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, at 1190 E. Hudson Ave., Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 4 p.m. The family will be receiving friends starting at 3 p.m. and after the service.
