Chester A. Bauer Sr., 88, of Grove City was received into the gates of eternal life on Tuesday March 3, 2009. He will be greeted not only by our Father, but by his loving wife of twenty five years, Eula Jean Bauer and his youngest son, Roger Bauer. Chet was born September 12, 1920 in Albert, TX. He served in the Army Air Corp. as a crew chief with the B-26 Bombers. Chet was a veteran of WWII. He retired from Local 189 Plumber and Pipefitters Union. During his retirement he enjoyed golf, tending his rose garden, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Chet is survived by his sons, Chester A. Bauer Jr. (Teri) and Kurt E. Bauer (Kathy); daughter-in-law, Donna Jean; brothers, Kurt Bauer and Werner (Cora) Bauer, grandchildren, Katie (Brandon Ford) Stuller, Susan (Jim) Borrows, Jaime (Ted) Miller, Jessica and Justin (Shannon) Bauer, Jessica (Mike) Elliott, and Jeremy Jadlot; great grandchildren, Adam Stuller, Kristina and MacKenzie Borrows, Madeline and Jacob Elliott, Ethan Bauer and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held Sat. March 21, 2009 12:00PM at Grace of God Lutheran Church 1000 Demorest Rd. Cols. to celebrate his life and rejoice in his calling home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 870 Michigan Ave. Cols 43215 or Cozy Cat Cottage Adoption Ctr. 62 Village Point Dr. Powell 43065 where he adopted "Howey" a long loved companion.
