Chester L. Withem

Chester L. "Bus" Withem, 76, of Columbus passed away May 9, 2006 at Traditions at Stygler Road in Gahanna. He was born on June 20, 1929 in Glouster, Ohio to the late Amos and Maxine (Kinnison) Withem. Chester was retired from General Motors after 23 years of service. He enjoyed cars and worked on them throughout his life. Chester is preceded in death by his Parents; Son, Timothy Withem; Two Brothers, Bobby and Larry Withem; Sister, Ruth Ann Mathias. He is survived by his loving and devoted Wife of 55 years, Mary (Snyder) Withem; Daughter, Marla (Scott) Boggs; Son, Wayne Withem; Brother, Gay (Wilma) Withem; Sisters, Welma (Alfred) Darby, and Mary Margaret McCall; Grandchildren, Will (Jonina) Withem, and Christina (Andrew) King; Three Great-Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews. Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 13, 2006 from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the Newcomer Funeral N.E. Chapel 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Mifflin Township Cemetery.
