WELLMAN, Christel D. passed away April 10, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Christel was born to Lucia Lydia Noske (b. 10-08-11) of Berlin, Germany and Felix Hyza (b. 10-10-10 d. 04-12-96) of Vienna Austria on November 10, 1941 in Berlin, Germany. In Germany she attended the free university of Berlin to study medieval Europe history, her passion all her life. She married James C. Wellman on August 24, 1959, the love of her life and best friend. They were blessed with 2 great and loving sons, Shawn (Sharon) and Jefferey (Dawn) and 5 grandchildren, the joy of their lives, Aaron, Dylan, Ryan, Megan and Tiffany. Christel retired from Target Stores after 13 years, due to her illness. Christel was the caregiver to her mother since 1998 and when she took ill James stepped in and took care of both. Her motto in life was Amo-ergo sum Cogito-ergo sum. She will be missed by all that knew her. She touched many lives, she was witty and charming company and a good friend to all. She is not dead she just went on a new journey of life after all, her old one was just great. As she wished there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held 1:00PM Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Sunset Cemetery 5969 W. Broad St., Galloway, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society. We would like to thank Dr. Mark Segal's office and the nurses for all their help and Mount Carmel Hospital and the radiation department for all their loving care. Also, special thanks to Mary-Rose and Linda for their prayers, Dana for her friendship and Dee who was always there when I needed her and most of all, the gang at Target, thanks for all the hugs, they sure helped. This journey I will take alone into the dark and unknown. I have no fear, God will be waiting for me. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there I have not died. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel.
