Christine R. Pittman

Christine Rosaline Pittman, 85, Columbus, OH, fell asleep in death, September 8, 2013. She was born in Sharon, SC on October 9, 1927, to Lonnie and Ella (Pickenpack) Feemster and was the youngest of 10 children.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Pittman Jr; siblings, Clara, Flora, Pinky, Cleo, Hugh, Odell, Eugene, Oscar, Saye and Willie.

Christine was employed by Nationwide Children's Hospital for 28 years as a dietary supervisor and was certified in hospital management.

She is survived by her five children: Gail Walker, Kathy Simons-Pittman, Judy Chaplin, Gary (Sandy) Pittman and step-daughter, Olivia (Granville) Ward; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Ezell Couch for her kind and caring love shown to their mother.

Christine was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a faithful servant of Jehovah God for 43 years. She attended the Clintonville Congregation in Columbus, OH. Christine was dearly loved by her family and until she awakens from sleep, she will be missed.

Christine's family will receive friends and family on Friday, September 13, 2013, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. Private burial will follow.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1190 E. Hudson, Street, Columbus, OH at 4:30 PM. John Riley will officiate.
