Cindy Kay "Mawmaw" Harris, 68, passed away on December 30th, 2024 in the comfort of her own home with her loving family at her side.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Harris, Sr. and parents, Chuck and Dorothy Linley.
In her prime days of life, Cindy loved spending her weekends camping on the Muskingum River or down at her family cabins in Logan. She also loved to travel with her husband to different casinos across the US. In more recent years, Cindy enjoyed playing slot machines at more local casinos and always did so with a Bud Light or Bloody Mary in her hand. Cindy loved to watch her sports. She was a big Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Reds fan and even suffered through Browns games on Sundays- a tradition she carried on after losing her husband. Cindy loved to cook and bake and was famous for her homemade pumpkin rolls. She was so excited and proud to teach her granddaughter, Charli, how to make them this past fall to carry on her legacy. Above all, Cindy loved spending time with her family and friends. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a proud grandma and doted on them any chance she could.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Dana (Greg) Scott and son, Norman (Tina) Harris, Jr., grandchildren Charli (Anthony) Stevens, Brandon (Brooke) Lykins, Tyler (Brittany) Lykins, Justin (Liz) Harris and Greg Scott, Jr., great-grandchildren Scarlett and Grayson Stevens, Kaitlyn, Emma, TJ, Tanner and Trace Lykins, brothers Dennis (Carol), Chuckie (Angie), Ray (Mel) and Phillip (Belinda) Linley, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members as well as close friends Marie Conley, Lavonna VanOrder, and Linda Johnson.
Cindy’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Bella Care Hospice for the exceptional care of Cindy during her final days.
