Clarence G. Dixon, Jr., 88, Columbus, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Clarence was born in Columbus, OH on September 22, 1923, to Clarence G. and Helen (Bennett) Dixon, Sr. and is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Margaret Louise Dixon; sister, Dorajean Hickman. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Helena (Holtzapfel) Dixon; daughters, Linda Davies, Sandy (Dave) Maxwell and 2 step-daughters; 2 step-sons; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; niece, nephew and many friends. Clarence is a WWII Veteran, worked for 39 years at Huntington Bank and 13 years at Chrysler Crown Motors. He also was a devoted member of the Northeast Baptist Church and formerly a member of Sharon Woods Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012, 2-5 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Monday, February 20, 2012, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Galloway Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
