Clarence Harris, 85, of Columbus, passed away Friday, August 31, 2007 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born July 4, 1922, in Concord, Georgia, son of the late Sterling and Carrie Johnson. In addition to his parents, Clarence is preceded in death by his wife, Lela Office Harris and brothers, Daniel and Ernest Harris. He served in the Army during WWII. Clarence is survived by his daughters, Donella Scales and Cathy Carter; grandchildren, Terry Scales and Teal Harris; great grandson, Shaun Harris; aunt, Betty Randall; nieces, Sheila Carter, Phyllis Office, and Sharon Young. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 12:30-1:00 PM with the funeral service following visitation at the Church of God, 1322 Sigsbee Avenue, Columbus, OH. Interment will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. Newcomer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.com
