Clarence J. "Skip" Rittenhouse, 79, Columbus, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Skip was born in Mt. Healthy, OH to Clarence J. and Violet (Decker) Rittenhouse on May 24, 1931, and is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Chris. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Joan (Bryson) Rittenhouse; son and daughter-in-law, Tim Rittenhouse and Patsi Rittenhouse; grandchildren, Alex, Nick and Cassie Rittenhouse; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. Skip began his teaching career in horticulture at West High School and continued at Northeast Career Center. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, 1-3PM & 5-7PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 PM.
